Watch Me Lose Weight!

I’ve noticed a lot of people asking various questions about Lean and Green meals and recipes, so I figured I’d share some of my dinners in an ongoing series on this blog. It’s easy to get stuck eating the same thing everyday – heck I ate chicken breast and a salad of romaine lettuce and spinach for my entire first week on Medifast. Once I realized what I was allowed to eat, I learned a lot more about portions, calorie amounts, and fat content in some foods that are meatless options, as well as how to get my healthy fat servings in.

I am still rotating the same 4-5 meals for my Lean and Green, mostly because my schedule is super busy, and I haven’t had the time to play around with any LG recipes yet. However, any variety at all is good! I very much look forward to my Lean and Green meals now, and am generally only spending 5-10 minutes preparing them. Like I said.. I’m busy! (and I don’t even have any kids yet! lol)

Without Further ado, I present to you tonight’s Lean and Green Dinner!

The picture above includes 2 Boca Burger Patties, (of Grilled American variety), a 1/2 of Lowfat Cottage Cheese, and my Caesar salad of romaine lettuce and President brand Fat Free Feta Cheese.

I could have just eaten 3 Boca Burger Patties, but I wanted to add a bit more variety to tonight’s dinner. So I cut it down to two patties, added the missing protein element with the Lowfat Cottage Cheese. To add some flavor to the Cottage Cheese, I’ll add a dash of salt, and whatever spice sounds good. Sometimes I play around with it… I’ve tried a few that weren’t so good. lol

There you have it! Tonight’s Lean and Green!

What is your favorite Lean and Green dinner and why?

I was trollying around on Youtube, and I stumbled upon this wonderful video of Stacey Hawkins preparing a Medifast Lean and Green meal. Yes, this meal is Medifast compliant, and it looks really good! I had never heard of Stacey Hawkins before today. Apparently, she is the Queen of Medifast’s Lean and Green meals. I can see why!

Take a look Below!

Great!!!!

Medifast is Making me HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t know what it is about living off of stored fat, but it’s making my entire mood better. I’m more motivated, energetic, and I even need less sleep. I’d generally need around 10-11 hours of sleep per day, now it’s more like 7-8…which is more along the lines of normal. Even sleeping 10 or 11 hours, I’d still feel fatigued, kind of moody, and overall… just fat and “blah”. Not today. it was awesome.

The Hunger REALLY DOES Fade!!

I’m really starting to get excited because I’m finding myself not nearly as hungry as I was the first few days, which makes fighting the temptations MUCH easier. I crave bad foods when I’m hungry… so this will be my motivation to stay in ketosis, and 100% OP. Not having those hardcore cravings during hardcore hunger will really make this 90 lb weight loss seem so much feasible.

Overall, I feel great. I even feel mentally more clear. I feel more clarity when organizing my day, my calls, business tasks, and more. I’m a lot more outgoing for some reason. It’s really weird. I feel like inside of my head things are fresh, clean, and new. (if that makes sense). It’s the feeling you when when you step into a room that’s really bright, open, and airy. Just fresh… life in general is just becoming much more awesome. This is giving me something to look forward to, which I can honestly say I haven’t had in a while.

A Little Reward

My husband treated us to a Bath and Body Works trip today (because yes, he likes it too), and we rewarded ourselves with some wonderful candles, room sprays, and other goodies. We stopped at a game store and decided on a Wii game for ourselves as well. Since it was something we could play together, I was okay with it… we don’t really go out much and we almost never spend frivolously on things like this… so it was a nice reward-type of purchase for us both. 🙂 It’s a tennis game, so it’s quite interactive. Not full-blown exercise, but you are standing, and you have to swing your arm around as if you were swinging a real tennis racket.  The husband’s not doing medifast, but he’s completely cut out fast food, junk food, and sweets, mostly because he doesn’t want to eat it around me. He’ll be starting Medifast once he gets the OK from his Dr.

All in all, day 4 ended GREAT! I tried eating Egg beaters today and realized that the 2 cups they say to eat are a LOT! I ended up having to split it up. This is insane! Just days earlier I would’ve wolfed that down with quickness! I wish I would’ve known about that the first day. I ate chicken during my Lean and Green for the first day. Oh well.

We live and we learn!
